Lightweight and Breathable

"I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. True Size: W8 I added these shoes to my running sneaker rotation and was pleasantly surprised by their breathability and lightweight feel. The cushioning is super plush, and the rocker on the front of the toe is very prominent. Great for running on flat surfaces such as a gravel road, which is where I took them out most. The rubber and traction are grippy/robust enough that I'd trust these in any dirt conditions. I received a size 8, and I wish I had gone up a half size because they fit snug, but my toes were feeling crammed/tingly on longer runs. I would recommend going a half size up. I am going to keep these shoes in my training for my long trial run at the end of summer, The Rut. I will use them on smoother gravel running only, though."

Comfortable Running Shoes for Road and Trail

"I had the opportunity to test out the Craft Nordlite Ultra 2 shoes. I used these for runs and walks where I went from road to gravel to dirt. Below are my thoughts. Pros: - The shoes were very comfortable with the extra cushion. Compared to my Altra road running shoes, these have a slight edge on comfort due to the cushion. - The cushion has a nice springy feel to it while running. - The traction is great! It's very grippy on the ground and I feel it with every step. I felt as if I had a solid grip when transitioning between different terrain. Cons: - Something I found, that I missed was the wide toe box allowing my toes to spread naturally. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."

Great runnning shoe

"These have been great for my wife so far. She loves the feel of them, enough cushion without being too much. The only issue she has brought up is that they seem to run just a little on the smaller side compared to the other shoes she usually runs in"

Great road to trail shoe

"*I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review* I tested the new Craft Nordlite Ultra 2 on both road runs and light-to-moderate trails, including gravel paths, and came away impressed with its versatility. The foam midsole feels responsive and supportive across different surfaces, providing a stable ride cruising on pavement or tackling some terrain. The mesh upper is lightweight and breathable. My initial impression was that the upper felt a bit stiff but after a few wears it softened up and became more comfortable. Sizing runs slightly small, especially in the toe box. Since I prefer a wider toe box, my feet felt a little cramped. Because of that, I don’t think this would be my first choice for long-distance runs, but for shorter outings and everyday training miles, it delivers a solid combination of comfort, responsiveness, and stability."

Nice mixed terrain shoe

"I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The Craft Nordlite Ultra 2 gravel running shoe are a great options for runners whose runs are typically mixed terrain. They are light and well cushioned so are comfortable on pavement and hard packed dirt road, but the outsole has just enough grip to work well on looser gravel or nontechnical trail. The uppers are soft but still feel structured and not sloppy. I didn’t have any pressure points or hot spots (though so far have only run shorter 3-5 mile runs in them). The toe box is a little narrow for my foot so I’d be hesitant to put in long days in these but that is very much subjective and personal preference. I wouldn’t choose these for strictly trail running or more aggressive rocky/mountain trails, but for those runs where you are mixing a little trail in with road miles they perform very well!"

Interesting New Running Shoe

"I have been in the market for a new pair of running shoes since the brand that I previously wore for years changed its fit. I got this at a bit of an odd time -- I'm recovering from a foot injury, so I haven't been running as much as usual, but the first thing that I noticed is how soft these are. They are a tad bit longer than what I'm used to, but I think this has worked in my favor. They felt better than the shoes I had been wearing. They have a bit too much tread/traction to be right for the treadmill, but they have been good on a variety of paved and gravel trails. I look forward to trying them out on much longer runs this summer. One slight complaint is that I wish they had offered a wider range of women's sizes. I'm usually a women's 10. 5 in running shoes, but I'm wearing a men's 9. 5 (although this color is bright and honestly pretty unisex). I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."

Road, Trail and Gravel!

"I really have loved these shoes so far. They promote a mid-foot strike and have a nice, middle-of-the-road amount of cushioning. It's not too much that you lose the feel underfoot when on gravel/trail, but enough that the road runs feel smooth. There is a good bit of volume in the shoe, so good for a slightly wider foot, or just someone who likes room to breathe. I even ran in the rain with them and they dried shockingly quickly. I can't wait to take them on so many more runs this summer!"

Love these!

"When I saw the description of this shoe I was intrigued, but also perhaps a bit skeptical? A shoe that is geared for both trail and pavement alike? It actually is. And I mean it. Spring in Alaska is full of pavement, dirt road, and muddy trail running as the seasons change and these shoes have crushed it in all conditions so far. Long road runs: cushy and light. Long dirt road or muddy trail runs: good traction (not as robust as a normal trail shoe) and nimble. The only thing I would note is that as someone who has run in shoes with wide toe boxes for the last decade, I do wish there was a tad more room by the small toes. I would 100% recommend this shoe for runners who want a versatile shoe or a quiver of one for any condition."

Loved them

"I actually really loved these Nordlite Ultra 2 Craft Running shoes ! I run a lot of slick rock , gravel and loose rock trails and have had issues in the past with rolling my ankle or slipping from shoes that didn’t “grip” good enough . These shoes have felt stable and “grippy” even on loose running surfaces . They have been so comfortable, soft and supportive - can’t wait to bring them with me on more trails ! *I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review"

A Lesson in Expert Craft-manship

"Having loved the original Craft Nordlite Ultra, I was excited to see how the newest iteration compared. At an approachable price point, Craft once again demonstrates its commitment to premium endurance gear, incorporating modern shoe technology into a versatile and beautifully executed road-to-trail option. Right out of the box, the fit felt dialed for my wider-than-average C-width foot, with a true-to-size length and comfortable step-in feel. The supercritical CR Foam delivered a ride that balanced firmness and cushioning exceptionally well — protective enough for long efforts while still offering responsiveness when picking up the pace. The HyperGrip outsole provided reliable traction across both pavement and light gravel. I especially appreciated the added confidence on roads under construction, where loose debris and uneven surfaces can often feel unstable in road-focused shoes. One of my biggest critiques of the original version was the somewhat unstructured upper. The updated woven TPU upper addresses that issue nicely, holding its shape much better while remaining impressively breathable and durable. It also contributes to an even lighter overall feel, making the shoe especially enjoyable during warmer runs and longer miles. Taken together, Craft has refined nearly every aspect of the Nordlite Ultra while preserving what made the original so enjoyable. It quickly became one of my favorite shoes of the season and a standout option for runners looking for a lightweight, versatile trainer that transitions seamlessly from road to light trail. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review."
