Pure Trail X is built to go long, stable, cushioned, and ready for whatever the trail throws at you. The ultra-light Cr Foam™ midsole delivers soft landings with powerful energy return, while an exposed rock plate adds protection and confidence underfoot. A grippy lugged outsole handles mixed terrain, and the ripstop upper keeps weight down while standing up to trail abuse. Comfortable, durable, and dialed for distance, this is a trail shoe that just keeps moving.

Good trail shoe

"This is my second pair of Craft shoes and will continue to purchase Craft. Solid shoe that is light in weight and solid in the contact with the ground."

Paul B. (5/5)

Craft keeps improving.

"Second pair of Craft shoes. The Pure Trail X is a super solid shoe. Not sure if these were supposed to be an update to the Pure Trail but if so they are a step in the right direction. The mid-foot fit is greatly improved, locked-in and stable. The upper seems to be a bit more durable but at the expense of breathability. Not a problem on colder days but on those days when temps are high my feet get a bit swampy. I did like the insole in the Pure Trail a little better as it had a slightly more cushioned feel. Feels comfortable picking up the pace on even technical trails. Would buy again."

Jeremy D. (4/5)

Excellent trail shoe

"Love the fit, feel and comfort of this shoe. Feels stable and has strong grip on the trail. Love that it does not get rocks easily into the shoe while on the trail."

Todd H. (5/5)

Excellent shoes

"Very good looking and comfortable. Grip is great as well"

Andrew C. (5/5)

Good shoes

"I’m a U. S. Mens 9. 5. I sized up to a 10 which was the right size for me. These shoes are good. I wish they had used a softer foam/more cushion/more plushness for my old sports hammered knees… especially running down trail. Some people might prefer the firmer more supportive feel, or could be good for lifting weights or in a gym, but for a trail running shoe Id prefer a plusher ride."

Jess K. (4/5)

Let’s go!! I love this shoe!

"This is my third pair of craft shoes and is by far my favorite. I love the stack height and the tread. I do my running primarily in the mountains, but the shoe transitions nicely to gravel roads. I feel like it manages rocks and uneven trails very well. It has a nice lacing pattern and the heel cup is exceptional in keeping my foot in place."

Taylor M. (5/5)

Nice muddy condition trail runners

"I bought these to compliment my Nordlite Ultras for the wet and muddy PNW winters. The deeper lugs provide more traction in the wet and muddy conditions. There is a fair amount of midsole to use for midweek and long runs. The outsole material keeps my feet pretty dry in wet conditions."

The sides of the shoe

"The sides of the shoe under my ankle come up too high and bother my ankles a little bit. I really like my Pure trails and thought this would be a stronger version but seems a bit different feel"

James D. (4/5)

Happy Shoes

"After about 100 miles in the shoes, I’m excited for them to continue to break in rather than break down. Step in is wonderful, lockdown is beyond adequate, ground feel is there through the firm cushion and plate. Excited to take this shoe on some longer distances!"
